Evening Activities
We offer programs each evening on a variety of health and wellness topics. They might include:
- A cooking demonstration in the New Life kitchen where you see how to prepare your own healthy cuisine.
- Review of
New Life Diet
with suggestions for making smart food choices, discussion of new products, and tools to help you sort out nutritional myths.
Laughing for the fun of it! A spirit-lifting wellness workshop.
Geology of the Green Mountains, local flora and fauna, history of Vermont’s Long Trail (the oldest recreational hiking trail in the country), and general hiking trail tips and etiquette.
A reflexology workshop with relaxation techniques.
A demonstration and discussion of Ohashiatsu therapy.
A Feng Shui workshop.
An introduction to various meditation techniques and practice.
Cooking Classes
Learn how to cook with healthy wholesome foods.
Learn what whole foods are and why they are so important to your well being.
Learn the role of nutrition in natural weight loss.
Learn the seven points to easy cooking.
Learn about food quality and quantity.
Learn about meals that are fast, easy and fun to prepare.
Learn about menu planning, variety, taste and color.
This is a hands-on cooking class offered in the mornings. All levels of cooks are welcome. A fitness walk/hike is first taken with the teacher, Janet Dunn Davenport. The class then learns and cooks together in our new state-of-the-art cooking demo area.
